본 연구는 우리나라 유아 및 아동에게 발달에 적합한 색채교육 및 색채 환경을 마련해주기 위한 기초 연구로서, 색채교육과정의 기본 틀을 제시해놓고 있으며, 발달단계별 유아와 아동의 색채표현 및 색채감각의 특징을 고려한 색채교육, 유？아동 개개의 색채심리가 반영된 색채 환경, 심리적 자유와 물리적 자유가 바탕을 이루는 개성과 자유가 존중된 색채표현의 기회를 제공하는 유？아동 색채교육을 제안하고 있다. 유？아동기 발달에 적합한 색채교육과정을 개발하기 위해서, 본 연구에서는 유？아동 색채교육과정 개발을 위한 이론적 고찰과 선행연구 고찰, 색채교육과 관련된 현행 국가수준의 교육과정 이해 등의 문헌연구를 바탕으로 한국 유？아동을 위한 색채교육과정의 개발안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 색채교육과정의 개발안은 다음과 같다. 유？아동을 위한 색채교육과정의 목적은 다양한 색채 활동을 통해 유？아동의 정서발달, 인지발달, 창의성 발달을 총체적이고 통합적으로 발달시켜 조화로운 인격체로서의 인간을 기르는 데 있으며, 색채교육과정의 내용범주는 색 속성, 색 인지, 색 감성, 색 연상, 색 구성, 색 통합 등의 여섯 가지로 구성되어 있다.
The Purpose of this study was to provide a framework for the curriculum development of color education for preschool and elementary school children in Korea. To meet the purpose, this study was confirmed by the following three issues. : (1) A theoretical background for color education, (2) study of previous research on color education, (3) the study of National Curriculum related to the color education. The goal of the curriculum for color education would achieve the emotional development, cognitive development, creativity development for preschool and elementary school children. The content categories of the curriculum for color education were composed of color property. color cognition, color emotion, color image, color design, and color integration. And the each of these content categories were included the content area 7-8.
