한국어판 물질남용에 대한 태도 척도(Substance Abuse Attitude Survey)의 타당화 연구 - 사회복지사를 대상으로 -

음주 또는 약물사용과 같은 중독문제와 중독문제를 가진 사람들에 대한 사회복지사의 태도는 사회복지와 클라이언트 간의 전문적 관계, 사회복지사의 개입방법 등에 영향을 미칠 수 있기 때문에 중독문제에 대한 사회복지사의 태도를 살펴보는 것은 매우 중요하다. 물질남용에 대한 태도 척도는 알코올을 포함한 다양한 물질 사용의 허용성, 물질을 사용하는 사람과 물질남용에 대한 태도, 물질남용의 치료에 대한 태도 등을 측정하는 문항들로 구성되어 있다. 수도권을 포함한 다양한 지역에서 근무하는 사회복지사를 대상으로 수행된 한국어판 물질남용에 대한 태도 척도에 대한 평가 결과는 대체로 양호한 편이었다. 한국어판 물질남용에 대한 태도 척도는 평가과정에서 원척도의 문항 중 일부가 삭제되었으나 원척도의 5요인 구조를 유지하였다. 한국어판 물질남용에 대한 태도 척도는 유사 개념을 측정하는 도구와 통계적으로 유의미한 관계를 보였고 하위요인들 간 구분도 명확하여 척도의 타당도가 확보되었다. 다만 척도의 신뢰계수의 범위는 .51-.68로 일반적으로 사회복지연구에 보고된 수준보다 다소 낮은 편이었다. 척도의 신뢰도는 후속연구에서 재평가될 필요가 있겠다. 후속 연구를 통해서 물질사용에 대한 한국인과 한국 사회의 태도와 분위기를 잘 반영하는 한국형 척도가 개발되길 바란다.
It is very important to examine social workers’ attitudes toward substance abuse and substance abusing clients because their attitudes may have impacts on their interventions with clients. The Substance Abuse Attitude Survey(SAAS) is an instrument that include items measuring attitudes toward the permissiveness of alcohol and other drug, attitudes toward substance using people and substance abuse, and attitudes toward substance abuse treatment. A total of 293 social workers participated in this study. The findings of this study was satisfactory. The evaluation of the Korean version of the SAAS showed satisfactory results. Although some items of the scale were dropped, he Korean version of the SAAS maintained the same factor structure of the original scale. The Korean version of the SAAS had statistically significant relationships with a scale measuring the similar concept and its sub-scales distinguished from one another. However, the Cronbach’s alphas of the Korean version of the SAAS were little lower than alphas reported in social work research articles. The reliability of the Korean version of the SAAS needs to be re-evaluated in the future studies. This study suggests that future studies develop a scale that reflects Korean culture and attitudes toward alcohol, cigarettes, and other drug use.
