초록
본 연구는 정신건강문제의 잠재성을 가진 취학아동의 양육자를 대상으로 정신사회재활서비스 이용의향에 미치는 영향을 분석한 것이다. 이를 위해 Andersen & Newman 모델에 근거하여 선행요인, 촉진/저해요인, 그리고 욕구요인으로 독립변수를 구분하여 종속변수인 사회기술훈련, 행동치료, 그리고 부모교육 서비스 이용의향을 살펴보았다. 분석대상은 초등학교 아동의 양육자 140명이며, 부산지역에서 정신건강문제의 잠재성이 있다고 판단되는 초등학교 아동을 의뢰받아 그 양육자를 대상으로 우편 조사를 하였다. 아동의 정신건강문제 여부는 PSC(Pediatric Symptom Checklist)를 이용하여 평가하였다.
주요한 연구결과는 첫째, 사회기술훈련과 행동치료 이용의향에 공통적으로 영향을 미치는 요인은 기초생활수급권 여부, 아동의 정신건강문제여부, 그리고 양육스트레스로 나타났다. 기초생활수급권자가 아닐수록, 아동의 정신건강의 문제가 있을수록, 그리고 양육자의 양육스트레스가 많을수록 사회기술훈련과 행동치료 이용의향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모교육 이용의향에 영향을 미치는 요인은 기초생활수급권 여부와 양육스트레스로 나타났다. 기초생활수급권자가 아닐수록, 양육자의 양육스트레스가 많을수록 부모교육 이용의향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서는 정신건강문제를 가진 아동과 양육자를 위한 적합한 정신건강서비스를 증가시켜야 함을 강조하였다. 또한, 아동의 정신건강문제를 screening 하기 위한 PSC 척도의 활성화를 제안하였다.
This study examined the factors affecting the preferences for the utilization of the psychosocial rehabilitation services including social skill training, behavior therapy and parenting education among those who are caring for schoolchildren. A Help-seeking behavior model developed by Andersen and Newman(1973) provided an analytical framework to determine the factors affecting service utilization preferences among 140 schoolchild caregivers. A logistic regression analysis was conducted.
This study found that schoolchild caregivers who are not the recipients of public assistance, have their children with mental health problems and are suffering from higher parenting stress were more likely to prefer to use social skill training and behavior therapy services. The preference for the parenting education service use were significantly related to the status of public assistance and parenting stress. That is, those who are not the recipients of public assistance and are suffering from higher parenting stress were more likely to prefer to use parenting education services. Finally, this study suggested that more psychosocial rehabilitation services be increased. Use of PSC(Pediatric Symptom Checklist) scale should be also encouraged for screening behavior health problems of children.
