본 연구는 유아중심의 교육이 절실히 요구되는 이때에 참교육의 한 가지 대안으로 유아체험학습의 교육적 가치를 확인하고 발달에 적합한 유아기 체험학습의 방향을 이론적 관점에서 고찰？제안하는데 그 목적이 있다. 발달에 적합한 유아체험학습의 방향을 제안하기 위해 본 연구에서는 체험학습에 대한 이론적 연구동향, 유아기에 적합한 체험학습, 발달에 적합한 유아기 체험학습의 교육과정, 유아발달과 유아체험학습의 관계를 연구문제로 다루었다. 이론적 고찰에 의하면, 유아기 체험학습은 학습내용에 대한 정확한 지식획득이란 점에서 매우 중요하며 체험활동의 대상을 선택하여 계획하는 과정 그 자체도 충분히 교육적으로 가치 있는 경험이라는 것이다. 이에 우리는 발달에 적합한 유아체험학습을 통해 첫째, 생활경험과 시야를 넓히고 사회적 사실과 현상 간의 관계를 보다 잘 이해시킬 수 있으며, 둘째, 실제로 보고, 듣고, 느낌으로써 풍부한 경험을 갖게 하고, 개념학습을 강화시키며, 셋째, 과학적으로 문제를 해결하는 방법을 배우고, 상호협조의 사회, 생산과 소비, 대인관계 등을 이해함으로써 이웃에게 감사하는 마음을 갖게 할 수 있다. 특히 발달적으로 유아기는 적극적인 에너지와 세상에 대한 도전적 경험을 필요로 하고, 자신의 활동에 대한 주도성을 갈망하고, 호기심이 많고 목적지향적이며, 타인과의 상호작용을 통해 보다 심도 있는 경험을 구성한다는 측면에서 볼 때, 유아체험학습이 학습목표의 달성과 자기주도적 학습능력을 고양시키는 교육적 성과를 대입해보면 유아발달에 있어 유아체험학습은 매우 중요한 의미를 갖는다 하겠다.
The purposes of this study were to ascertain a educational value of personal experience learning for young child and to suggest a educational course of developmentally appropriate personal experience learning for the early childhood. For the purposes, this study was to investigated the theoretically approch of personal experience learning, developmentally appropriate personal experience learning for the early childhood, developmentally appropriate curriculum of personal experience learning for the early childhood, and the relation between personal experience learning for young child and young child development.
Based upon the preceding systematic literature review about the study issues, it was summarized as follows; The personal experience learning for the early childhood was play an important part from the viewpoint of an accurate knowledge acquisition on educational contents. Also it play an valuable educational experience in the process of selection and plan on the object of personal experience activity.
