본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 현행 초등교육의 교과영역별 교육내용을 유아교육과 연계하여 유아교과교육학의 교육내용을 확인하기 위함이며, 이를 분석하기 위해 문헌분석방법을 사용하였고 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이집, 유치원, 초등학교의 교육과정 편제는 어떤 관련성이 있으며, 특히 유아교육양성과정에서 이루어지는 유아교육영역과는 어떤 관련성이 있는가? 둘째, 초등교육과 연계하여 유아교육기관에서 설정해야 할 유아교과교육학의 성격은 무엇인가? 셋째, 초등교육과 연계하여 유아교육기관에서 선정해야 할 유아교과교육학의 교육내용은 무엇인가? 등이다. 분석결과에 의하면, 유아교과영역 중 유아건강 및 신체교육은 초등의 체육교과와, 유아사회교육은 초등의 사회교과？도덕교과？실과교과와, 유아음악 및 동작교육은 초등의 음악교과？체육교과와, 유아미술교육은 초등의 미술교과와, 유아언어 및 문학교육은 초등의 국어교과와, 유아과학교육은 초등의 과학교과？실과교과와, 유아수학교육은 초등의 수학교과와 연계성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 초등교육과 연계한 유아교과교육학의 교육내용은 유아교육과 초등교육의 교육내용이 본질적으로 다르지 않고, 교육체제에서도 근본적인 차이가 나지 않으므로 동일선상에서 동등하게 선정될 수 있다는 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to clarify on what the pedagogical content need to cover, by conducting a comparative analysis of the portions of standard childcare and kindergarten and elementary school curriculum. The analysis of the curriculum on the pedagogical content was based on documentary records.
As the result of this study, the pedagogical content of the health & physical activity education of kindergarten and childcare center were well connected to the physical exercise course contents in elementary school. And the pedagogical content of the social studies in early childhood education were well connected to the ethics and social studies, and a practical course contents, the pedagogical content of the music & movement education for young children were well connected to the musical education and physical exercise course contents, the pedagogical content of the visual arts in early childhood education were well connected to the arts education course contents, the pedagogical content of the language arts & literature education for young children were well connected to the Korean language course contents, the pedagogical content of the science education for young children were well connected to the science and a practical course contents, and the pedagogical content of the mathematics education for young children were well connected to the mathematics course contents in elementary school.
