본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주여성들의 ‘에이전시’를 생애사적 맥락에서 재구성하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 생애사적-내러티브 인터뷰 7개를 실시하였고, 이러한 인터뷰 자료 또한 생애사적-내러티브 인터뷰 분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과, 이들의 생애사에서는 다양한 제약적 조건이나 상황과 교섭하고 협상하는 에이전시가 생애사적 전환점이 되는 국제결혼을 중심으로 그 이전과 그 과정, 그리고 그 이후의 생애과정에서 다양한 양상과 수준으로 작동되고 있음을 추적할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거해 결혼이주여성들의 에이전시에 대한 생애사적 맥락에서의 이해가 전제된 사회복지실천에 시사하는 함의를 제시하였다.
Through the biographical approach, the current research aims to reconstruct the agency of marriage migrants women. Seven autobiographical-narrative interviews were conducted, and the following conclusions were ascertained through the analysis of the Schutze's autobiographical-narrative interview: In biographies of the Marriage Migrants Women, the agency were at work in different aspects and levels, that negotiated several adverse conditions and situations in phases of life before and after around international marriage as a turning point. Based on the results, some implications for the practice of social work were addressed that emerged from the understanding on the agency of marriage migrants women.
