Estimating the appropriate caseloads of case management for the poor family.

이 연구는 현장에서 수행되는 사례관리 실천을 분석하여, 적정 사례량을 추정하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 분석 자료는 민간 및 공공영역의 총 10명의 사례관리자가 약 2달에 걸쳐 작성한 일일활동기록지와 사례관리자의 정보에 대한 설문조사를 기반으로 구성되었다. 스프레드쉬트 방법(spreadsheet method)을 활용하여 적정 사례량이 추정되었다.
연구결과, 사례관리자 1인당 한 달 동안 담당 가능한 사례량은 약 20가구에서 25가구로 도출되었다. 사례관리자의 업무 중 사례관리가 차지하는 비율은 평균 70% 수준이었으며, 사례관리 과정 중 평가, 종결, 사후관리 과정이 다른 과정에 비해 상당히 저조한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과와 한계점을 바탕으로 후속 연구를 제안하였다.
The aim of this study is to estimate the appropriate caseloads of case management for the poor family. This study developed the daily activity time log and followed the daily case management activities for 2 months. A survey was also used to gather the socio-demographics of case managers. The appropriate caseloads were calculated employing the spreadsheet method.
The study found that the appropriate caseload size was from 20 to 25cases per month per a case manager, depending on the percentage of daily working hours for case management. The relatively less-frequent activities were the evaluation, discharge, and follow-up processes. Several suggestions were discussed based on the results.
