Babyboomer's Use of Information Technology and It's Effect on the Digital Life Satisfaction-The Mediating Effect of the Self-mastery

초록
본 연구는 1963년에서 1955년 사이에 태어났으며 아날로그시대와 디지털시대의 “낀세대”라고 할 수 있는 베이비붐세대의 정보화활용 정도를 파악하고 정보화의 활용정도가 정보화 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 것이다. 더불어 정보화 활용정도는 베이비붐세대의 자기통제력을 매개로 하여서도 정보화생활 만족에 영향을 미치는 지도 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 대상은 모두 400명으로 제주를 제외한 전국을 연령, 성별, 지역별로 인구비례에 의한 할당표집을 실시하였으며 인터넷을 사용할 줄 아는 베이비붐세대를 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 인구사회적인 특성 중 연령, 성별, 직장유무, 교육수준, 월소득에 따라 정보화활용 정도는 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있다. 정보화활용정도를 보면 사용시간이 많을수록 정보화 생활만족도를 낮추었으며 접근이 용이하고 활용능력이 높고 의존능력이 높을수록 정보화 생활만족도는 높았다. 정보화활용 변인 중 접근용이성은 자기통제력을 높였으며 의존능력이 높을수록 자기통제력은 낮아졌다. 정보화의 접근 용이성은 자기통제력을 매개로 정보화 생활만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다.
The target population of this study is babyboomers who were born between 1963 and 1955. Babyboomers are like sandwich generation between the analog and digital generation. Therefore, in this study, the digital use ability on the effect of the digital life satisfaction was examined. The sample size of this study was 400 and it was selected by the ratio of region, age, gender based on the population census of the country(except Jeju island) who can use internet. According to the research results, there were statistically significant differences of the digital use ability by age, gender, job status, education and income. If they used the internet more, it reduced the effect of digital life satisfaction. If they accessed the information technology easily and had higher use ability and relied upon digital equipment, it affected digital life satisfaction positively.
The access of the information technology easily affected the mastery and the reliance of digital equipment affected the self-mastery negatively. And the self-mastery mediated between the easy access of the information technology and the effect of digital life satisfaction.
