부양 경험이 노후부양관에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -부양 동기에 따른 자녀동거 기대를 중심으로-

초록
본 연구의 목적은 부모부양의 경험이 부양자인 자녀의 노후부양관에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는 것이다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 부양의 동기를 규범적인 동기와 교환론적인 동기로 구분함으로써 부양에 있어서 동기의 차이가 부양자의 노후부양관에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 중점으로 하여 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 미부양자보다는 부양자가, 규범적인 동기에 의한 부양자보다는 교환론적인 동기에 의한 부양자가 노년기에 그들의 자녀로부터의 부양을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 그동안 가족부양체계의 지속을 설명하던 효 규범에 기초한 부양이 그것의 정당성과 공정성을 상당 부분 상실하고 있음을 보여주며, 교환관계로서의 부양이 미래 한국사회의 가족부양체계의 지속가능성을 설명할 수 있는 요인으로 작동할 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 이론적 함의를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to examine how the caregiving experience affects the perception of old-age care. Specifically, in this study caregiving is divided into normative caregiving and caregiving for resource exchange to investigate how caregiving motives influence the perception of old-age care. The result shows that caregivers of their parents prefer to reside with their own children in the future more than those who do not care for their parents. Furthermore, caregivers who have the caregiving motive for resource exchange tend to prefer to reside with their children in the future more than caregivers who have the normative caregiving motive. These results suggest that caregiving based on the norm of filial piety has lost its fairness and equity, although it has been the basis of the continuance of the family support system for a long time. Instead, caregiving for the purpose of exchange will be an important influential factor for the future family support system in Korean society. These finding have suggested theoretical implications.
