본 연구는 독일 대학에서 이루어지고 있는 사회복지교육의 동향을 고찰하는 데에 있다. 이에 독일 대학 사회복지교육의 동향을 살펴본 결과, ‘볼로냐과정’을 거치면서 사회사업과 사회교육으로 이원화된 전통이 통합되는 변화가 이루어지고 있고, 실제 위주의 교육에 집중하는 전문단과대학을 중심으로 한 1단계의 석사 과정과 이론 위주의 교육에 집중하는 University의 2단계 석사와 박사 과정으로 이루어졌던 교육과정이 Hochschule(구 전문단과대학)의 2단계 Bachelor와 Master 과정 및 University의 3단계 Bachelor, Master, 박사 과정으로 재편되는 변화가 이루어지고 있음을 발견하였다. 또한 이러한 개혁과정을 통해 Hochschule와 University에서의 사회복지교육이 실제와 이론이 통합된 방향으로 평준화되고 있고, 아울러 ‘재학생들이 무엇을 배워야 하는가?’라는 Input 논리가 ‘졸업생들이 무엇을 할 수 있는가?’라는 Output 논리로 전환되는 변화가 이루어지고 있음을 밝혔다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초해 독일 대학의 사회복지교육이 한국 대학의 사회복지교육에 시사하는 점을 자율성, 간학제성, 실제성, 국제성, 주체성, 학습결과를 중심으로 논의하였다.
The intention of this analysis is to ascertain the education of social welfare at German universities. In view of the research, which was arranged to study the education of social welfare at German universities, a dual education system, social work and social pedagogy, converted into an integrated education system, social welfare, through the Bologna Process. It is to assert that the certification of the Fachhochschule was a Diplom, which was focused on the practice-oriented education. The university had two certifications: Magister and Doctor, which were focused on the theory-oriented education. These graduations changed into a Bachelor and Master system at the Hochschule and Bachelor, Master and Doctor system at the university. Furthermore the practice-oriented education of social welfare at Hochschulen and the theory-oriented education at Universities are standardized through the reform process. In addition, it is noticeable that the input logic “what are students supposed to learn?”turned into the output logic “what can graduates do?” Based on the results, those concluded implications indicate for the education of social welfare at Korean universities focusing on autonomy, multidisciplinarity, practice-orientation, globalization and learning outcomes.
