한국과 독일 유아교사의 교사이미지 평가 비교연구

본 연구에서는 우리나라의 유아교사와 독일유아교사가 갖는 교사 자신에 대한 교사이미지 평가 경향을 알아보기 위해 두 나라 교사의 교사이미지 평가와, 두 나라 교사간의 이미지 평가 경향의 차이가 어떠한지를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 독일 중소도시에 있는 유아교사 98명과 우리나라의 유치원과 어린이집 교사 106명을 대상으로 2004년 9월부터 12월 사이에 이미지 평가에 대한 조사연구를 실시하였다. 설문의 분석결과 한국의 유아교사는 교사이미지의 6개요인 중 직업의식과 교사의 인성적 특성에 관한 요인의 이미지를 높게 지각하였고, 독일의 유아교사는 전문성 인식과 교양지식에 관한 요인의 이미지를 각각 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 한국과 독일 유아교사 간에 6개의 이미지 요인에 대한 인식의 차이가 있는지를 비교 분석한 결과 한국의 교사가 독일의 교사보다 전문적 기능 요인과 직업의식 요인을 더 중요하게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to compare early childhood teachers' evaluations of the "Teachers Image" which developed by Rue(1998). Participants are 98 German early childhood teachers and 106 Korean teachers working in Taejon City. The research was performed from August 2004 to December 2004 in German and Korea by mean of evaluation forms on the "Teacher Image". From analysis of the questionnaires, it was found that Korean early childhood teachers have high levels of conception on the categories that "job attitude" and "Teachers' personality". However German teachers have high levels of conception on the categories that "conception on professionalism" and "knowledge on culture". Korean teachers show the high concept level on the categories that "professional skill" and "job attitude" than German teacher.
