A Study on the Experience of the Parents of Assaulters in School Violences

초록
본 연구의 목적은 학교폭력 가해학생 부모의 경험을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구자는 현상을 경험하는 사람들의 주관적인 의미 구조를 탐구하고자 학교폭력 가해학생 여섯 명의 부모를 심층면접 하였으며, 이를 통해 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 현상학적 연구방법 중 Colaizzi의 분석방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석을 통해 '태풍의 전조', '부모라는 이름의 거울', '낙인이라는 꼬리표', '혼돈스러운 학교폭력법', '피해자만 감싸주고 기억하는 현실', ‘위기가 기회로’, 그리고 '우리가족 하나 되기'라는 경험의 대 주제를 도출할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 진정한 부모 됨의 의미와 역할, 가해학생 부모의 입장에서 인지하는 학교폭력과 관련된 제도의 모순 및 한계, 그리고 학교폭력의 행위자와 그 부모라는 지역사회의 부정적 인식의 굴레 속에서 경험하는 가족관계의 회복 등 경험적 본질을 도출할 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 학교폭력의 가해학생과 그 부모들을 위한 실천적이며 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the experimental essence in the life of the parents of the youth assaulters in school violences. In this regard, six interviewees were chosen in the process of data collecting and the data were analysed by the Colaizzi's phenomenological research method.
At the end of data analysis, seven main subjects were extracted: 'a sign of storming', 'a mirror, the name of mother', 'a stigma', 'a confused legal system', 'a caring victims', 'a gaining chance from a life-risk', and 'a reunited family'. As a result, the research delivered us some of key factors to understand the parents of the violent youths, such as the role and meaning of being parents, contradictions Korean legal system faced in treating school violence, the stigma that the violent youths and their parents being experienced., and the family resilience. And at the end of this research, we suggest some of implications of social work practices and policies in considering the constructive life of the violent youth and their family.
