본 연구는 시설장의 인식을 중심으로 현장에서 요구되는 보육교사의 자질을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2012년 1월 2주~3월 4주로 총 12주 동안 4~10년의 시설장 경력을 지닌 시설장 7명을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였다. 면접내용은 모두 녹음되었고 수집된 자료는 모두 전사하여 질적 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 시설장들은 현장에서 요구되는 교사의 전문적 자질로 영유아에 대한 애정과 반응성, 교육과정 계획 및 운영, 융통성과 문제해결력, 부모관리, 행정 및 업무의 공적 접근을 나타내었다. 둘째, 시설장들은 현장에서 요구되는 교사의 개인적 자질로 동기부여와 기꺼이 배우고 실행하려는 자세, 좋은 인성과 인간관계, 성숙된 태도와 행동이 나타났다.
This study aims to look into the qualifications for early childhood teachers that is required in the field of child-care centers. For this study, from January to March, 2012 is seven director with 4-10 years careers of child-care centers were interviewed. All contents of the interviews were recorded., and the qualitative analysis was conducted. The results are following. First, the qualifications required for early childhood teachers are teaching competences. For example, love and responsiveness for children, ability of planning and ㅉ4the unpredictable situations, and relationship with parents, and basic administrative skills. Second, the qualifications required for early childhood teachers are attitudes including self-directed attitude, willing to study, good personality, human relationship, and matured attitudes.
