초록
본 연구는 아들을 학대하는 어머니(클라이언트)에 대한 가족치료 사례를분석한 연구이다. 본 연구의 목적은 클라이언트의 아들을 학대하는 행위에영향을 미친 요인들과 가족치료자의 개입방법, 그리고 가족구성원들의 변화요인들을 살펴보는 데 있다. 가족치료자는 클라이언트의 학대 행위 중단을위해 정신분석적 대상관계 이론, 가족체계이론, 상호작용적 의사소통 모델을 적용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 클라이언트의 자녀 학대 행위에 영향을 미친 요인으로는 원가족에서 미해결된 정서, 전이된 감정, 부부갈등, 원가족에서 전수된 방식으로 나타났다. 둘째, 클라이언트의 자녀 학대 행위의 중단을 위한 치료자의 개입기법으로 원가족에서 미해결된 정서와 전이된 감정을 다루고 역기능적이었던 방식을 기능적인 새로운 방식으로 변화시키는 것 등이었다. 셋째, 가족들의 변화된 내용은 클라이언트의경우 미해결된 정서를 해결하게 된 것이며 다른 가족구성원들은 클라이언트를 이해하고 변화를 위해 노력하게 된 것이었다. 이러한 변화 과정을 통해 클라이언트는 자녀의 학대 행위를 중단하게 되었고 감정조절이 안 되었던 자녀의 증상도 완화되었다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 자녀를 학대하는 클라이언트에 대한 가족치료적 개입방법의 효과성을 보여주고 있다.
This study analyzed a family therapy case for a mother(client) who abused her son.
The research aims to examine the factors that affected the client’s abusiveness towardthe son, the therapist’s intervention method, and the changes made by the familymembers. In order to stop the client’s abusive behaviors, the therapist employedpsychoanalytical object relations theory, family systems theory, and interactionalcommunication model. The findings of study are as follows. First, the factors thatinfluenced the client’s abusiveness toward the son were unresolved emotions from thefamily-of-origin, transferred emotions, marital conflicts, and maltreatment inheritedfrom the family-of-origin. Second, the therapist’s intervention modality to help theclient discontinue abusing the son included dealing with unresolved emotions from thefamily-of-origin and transferred emotions, and transforming the dysfunctional methodinto a functional one. Third, as a result of family therapy, the client solved herunresolved emotions and the other family members understood the client and madeefforts for change. Through this process of change, the client stopped abusing the sonand the son’s symptoms of being unable to control his emotions were relieved. In aconclusion, this study proves the effectiveness of family therapeutical interventionmethod for the client abusing the son.
