  • The purpose of this survey will be offered to get basic date for the desirable direction of children's oral education in day care centers by investigating hold of the practical teaching conditions and teacher's recognition. The subject of this research were 254 teachers in day care center who were chosen by random sample in Kang-Won province. The results of this research as follow; 1. As for the practical teaching conditions of children's oral education in day-care centers, 56.3% of day-care center teachers answerd It didn't completely have been children's oral education'. As for the methods of children's oral education, that indirect education(26.3%) showed significantly more. The method of direct education have been practice by 'projection or printing media'(62.1%). Children's oral education in day-care centers, 54.7% of day-care center teachers answerd 'It didn't practical application'. Though practical application, the most(85.2%) did have been twice a year. The most of the teachers in day-care centers suffer from the lack of information. 2. Teachers interest in completely children's oral education in day-care centers(100%), teachers of four years or more interests very highly. 54.5% of the teachers regarded desirable to guid by a specalist, and the majority of the teachers regard to 'children's oral education effective in prevent infection from oral sickness'. 65% of the teachers consider a medical examination in of no use for children's the health of oral ranks the first'. As for the teacher's a career(p<.001)answered 'a medical examination is of use for children's the health of oral, which ranks the first. 3. The teacher regarded desirable to guid by a specialist. As the national day-care center, have day-care center, home day-care center, scolastic ability and career highly regarded desirable to do. 76.0% of teachers answered did not practical applicated oral education by a specialist, enforced frequency once a year. There were significant with teacher's career in day care center (p<.005), the teacher did't enforced to, enforced almost once a year, though teacher's career of more than three years. Above all, the most of teacher's in day care center (73.2%) regarded to desirable method of oral education 'directive explanation'.초록 닫기

  • This thesis, with emphasis on the practice of the filial piety of young children to their parents which is gradually vanishing from modern society, is written based on the survey and research through the children under 5 years old who are attending the 10 different Day-care Center in Taejeon city. This study focus on how much they practice the filial piety to their parents at home, as well as the study on the contents and concepts of the filial piety from the traditional books on ancients filial piety such as "Lessons and Practice for Children's Filial Piety", "Removing Ignorance and Teaching Wisdom", and "Principles of Customs and Practice". The results of this study tells that there is almost no difference in practicing of filial piety between male children and female children, children with brothers or sisters, and only child.   • The Purpose of this study is to search difficulty perceived by teachers in early childhood educational institutions, and to search whether theirs difficulty is differences according to type of institutions and teacher's career and age. The subject of this study is 93 of kindergarten and care center's teachers. As a result, early childhood teachers perceived the most high difficulty in 'management of time', and by next time, appeared that perceiveing difficulty of 'System', 'Program' by order. And recognized the lowest difficulty in 'Relation with colleague'. Difficulty recognizing in teaching profession achievement was difference according to type of institutions, teacher's career and age. According to the type of institution, the meaningful differences were found in the 'program', 'relation with supervisors', 'system', 'equipment and facilities'. 'management of time'. Significant difference appeared in 'instruction and learning', 'development of teacher ability', 'relation with colleague' according to the teacher's career. According to the teacher's age, there are statistical difference n 'instruction and learning'. In this reserch, It was found that teachers recognize much difficulty in problem about work environment, system, support.   • The purpose of this study is to investigate relevant factors which on the necessity manner education of recognition by day-Care Centers teachers. Questionnaires were distributed to the 400 housewives from the 26th of May to the 26th of June 2000. The 252 data obtained were analyzed by Factor Analysis, Reliability, Frequency. Percentage, Pearson's Correnation, χ², Mean and Multiple Regression with SPSS PC+. The major findings of this study were summarized as follows : (1) The putting in practice manner education and the necessity manner education were shown a positive correlation kindergarten life(r=.44), social life(r=.44), traditional manner education(r=.21) (2) There were significant differences on the putting in practice manner education of the children according to the occupational environmental variables, such as evalution of educational practice(β=.18), occupation satisfaction (β=.22), working age(β=.20) (3) There were significant differences on the necessity manner education of the children according to the independent variables and the occupational environmental variables, such as income of (β=.30), working time(β=-.04), working age(β=.20), evalution of educational practice(β=.18), occupation satisfaction (β=.22). Based on the above findings, this study concludes that the putting in practice manner education and the necessity manner education is very important. Thus the current government and the education policy should be reevaluated and revised to encourage the manner education. Greater attentions should be directed to a positive correlation kindergarten life, social life, traditional manner education of improving and stabilizing the children's manners implementation.초록 닫기

  • The intake of balanced nutrition in the infant period and the promotion of healthy eating habit are essential factors for infant growth and development and are bases that influence the whole period of life, for example, student, youth, manhood, and old age. The project of normal growth and development of infant is one of the important targets of infant education. But appropriate diet control is not done because of several reasons though people recognize the infant health and importance of nutrition. Therefore nutrition education needs to be done for infants as well as teachers. Especially nutrition education of infants should be done in everyday life and in day nursery with various methods. One of the methods is infant cooking activity that can be an interesting activity since infants participate and cook foods. Also it can be connected and educated with snack and lunch. At present the effect of nutrition education is not fully appreciated because the cooking. Activity in day nursery is less than several. Because the nutrition education is limited and not activated, in this research the new project that interests infants among infant cooking activity and the limit and improvement of cooking activity in day nursery is proposed.초록 닫기

  • The childhood science education in this country has advanced to ecological approach from technological approach. As Human and the nature has been seperated each other and they have become non-human and non-nature. In these days it is necessary that the ecological approach should be orienting the relation of union from a view of life. Therefore the purpose of this study was groped for the ecological way to solve out the childhood science education and suggested the program of ecological approach. The contents of this study was follows. It was suggested the philosophy, the purpose, contents and methods on the childhood science education from the view of ecological approach in this study. and was suggested the contents, methods of the childhood science education by the step of development. The programs of childhood science education was suggested teaching plans which are composed of the process from a cacoon to silkworm by observation. The other programs in this study was integrated with a domain of children's story, the fine art, language, reasoning thought and expression. However the limitation of this study was not in relation to various kinds of domain on the childhood science education. Thus, the ecological approach will advance to the direction of science education which respects life with interrelationship and coexistance with the nature.초록 닫기

  • In the present research, I have reviewed literatures about care and education of infant/toddler that has emerged as a new highlighted area of care and education in the last few years. According to the result of the review, studies on care and education of infant/toddler have not been active so far in Korea. The literature was classified into that about the state of care and education of infant/toddler, about the demand and parents requirement for care and education of infant/toddler, about satisfaction with the facilities for care and education of infant/toddler, about the perception on care and education of infant/toddler, about evaluation on care and education of infant/toddler, and that about developmental effects of care and education of infant/toddler. By reviewing and discussing these studies, the present research provided basic information for grasping the current situation and trend of the domestic care and education of infant/toddler and for finding directions of the future policies and studies related to care and education of infant/toddler.초록 닫기

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the needs of mothers in order to build up a basis for the development and the application of parent education programs for 0 to 1 year-old0infant mothers. 113 mothers of infants in Kyonggido have participated in answering the questionnaire developed in this study. Conclusions are as follows. First, the knowledge on the various aspects of infant's development and the concrete methodology immediately applicable for the mother-infants interaction at home need to be included in the program. Second, not only the mothers' demands on the content and the methodology identified in this study but also the knowledge and the experience of professions should be considered in the development of the programs. Last, social situation and characteristics of the present time and the unique circumstances of the parents must be reflected. On the basis of these results, a model program needs be developed and practical case studies needs to be applied for the demonstration and the verification of the effectiveness of the program.초록 닫기

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the factors in the infants and toddlers' symbolic play of complexity. Generally, the infant and toddle's play can be partitioned into the exploratory, the nonsymbolic play and the symbolic play. The factors in infants and toddlers' symbolic play of complexity were infant and toddlers' development level, scaffolding through the adults' interactions, the interactions with the toy play, and the play contents. First, the symbolic play of complexity depends on the infants and toddlers' development level. With ages, the object of the symbolic play changes from self-directed to others-directed, integrates the object substitutions and the individual symbolic actions, and performes the complexity of the symbolic play. Second, the scaffolding through the adults interactions performes infants and toddlers' symbolic play of complexity. Mothers appear to become more attuned to the infants and toddlers' play interest over time. Third, the provided symbolic toy play, takes on important role in the infants and toddlers' symbolic play of complexity. Forth, the play contents in familiar scripts allows the infants and toddlers to play longer and play in a detailed scripts, and become complex. The play level may depend on the play content.초록 닫기

  • Modern civilization and conspicuous trends toward nuclear families along with increasing numbers of working mothers demands the day care center. However, the more hours toddlers and infants spend in day-care center, the more likely they are exposed to the dangers. It is because many day-care centers have incompent safety in their facility. For that reason, child care setting needs to be settled on safe environment to prevent those unexpected accidents. This study was designed to identify the legal systemic problems and improve the related programs. The results of this study are as follows. Legally improved regulations on safety at day-care center would be helpful. Those activities includes legislation of a special law on children safety and education with detailed items. Moreover, the attemp to make a partial amendment of the existing bills should be followed. Lastly, the safety accidents can be prevented when communities and government aware the serious aspect of above problems.초록 닫기

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the extend of the knowledge and attitude on breast feeding of students in department of child care education and to provide some basic data for developing an education program on feeding breast milk and to put this into practice. The results of this study were as follows; There are more students who have an experience in learning about breast milk. Many students who have an experience in learning about the breast milk acquired the knowledge about it on the mass media. Most of participants in this study intimated their intention to feed by breast milk. This results was from the bottom of mother"s affection and causes by curiosity on relationship between baby and mother"s affection. It is revealed that 76% of respondents of this research want to feed their children breast milk on maternity leave. In this result, it was especially found that there was stronger intentions of feeding breast milk among the students who had received the education of breast milk feeding. In their attitude on the body shape of mother"s after feeding breast milk, 63% of participants had a positive response. In their knowledge on the first breast milk, it was revealed that 41% of the students perceived that the first breast milk is the milk coming for 5 days after giving birth, while 71% of them recognized that babies must be fed the first breast milk. 9.8% of the participants conceived that artificial milk is more scientific and provide better by nutrition than breast milk. However, if a medical institute recommend them to feed breast milk, 80.6% of students will feed this way. This means that they trust the knowledge of a medical personnel. Therefore, this study suggest, that the systemic education needs to make a progress in the knowledge of breast milk and make an enlargement of education in middle and high school programs. Furthermore, it will have to cultivate expert directors to promote the breast feeding in cordination with governments health departments. Not only the information of breast feeding, but it also needs the social support to practice feeding breast milk.초록 닫기

  • The object of this paper is to investigate the relation among the emotionality, emotion regulation, and peer popularity of children. For this purpose, 63 children of average age 66 month attending a kindergarten and a day-care center were selected at random. The emotionality was measured using parent-ratings on the Child Behavior Questionnaire(CBQ). The emotion regulation was measured using teacher-ratings on the Copying Behavior Questionnaire. The peer popularity was measured using Peer Popularity Measurement Instrument. The result shows that some subfactors of emotionality such as sadness scale and inhibited control scale have significant positive relation with the peer popularity. The result also shows that there is a significant relation between the emotion regulation and the peer popularity. More specifically, the constructive copying style has been found to have a significant positive relation with the peer popularity, whereas the aggressive copying behavior has been found to have a significant negative relation with the popularity among peers. This result suggests that the peer popularity which is one of the important measures on children"s social competence is highly related to the emotion regulation behavior of children as well as their emotionality.초록 닫기

  • This study has been conducted to provide a guideline to cultivate moral spirit of young children in preschools. With this purpose, 45 picture books, which were recommended by "The korean society for early childhood education: moral themes, and the level of morality presented in the books were analysed. The 9 categories of moral themes suggested by Lamme, Krogh & Yachmetz were considered. The level of morality was analyzed in terms of Kohlberg"s moral developmental stage. Concerning the moral stages of the books, stories of Kohlberg"s stage 3 were presented most frequently (40%). Stories for stage 1 and 2 were presented less (24.4% and 29%, respectively) frequently than stories for stage 3. Stories for stage 4 and 6 were very rare(4.4% and 2.2%, respectively) Concerning the moral themes, the sense of Cooperation with others were presented most frequently (24%). Diligence, and endurance (15.4%), peaceful regulation of interpersonal disagreement (13.5%), self-respect and consciousness for preserving ecosystem(11.5%), responsibility (7.7%), unconditional love and respect for others (5.8%) were followed, respectively. Allegiance for others were presented least frequently (4.8%).초록 닫기

  • The purpose of this study aimed to get basic data for Science Education in day care center by investigating the teacher"s actual conditions. For this study, the following research question were asked. 1. What are the goal of science education in day care center? 2. What are the content of science education in day care center? 3. What are the methodology of science education in day care center? 4. How are the another realities of science education in day care center? For attaining the purpose, questionnaire survey was carried out over 264 day care center teachers in kang-won province. The collected data was analyzed by frequencies and percentiles The findings of this study were as follows: Most of teachers perceived the importance of science education and they thought the goal of science was to make an inquiry of human and natural environment with concern and curiosity, While they were conscious of the shortages of teaching materials and technical attainment, expert knowledge of science in science education. In actual condition, planning of science education was made by themselves, the teaching method in Day care center were go to field trip for Science learning and give the science experience by the pictorial book.   • This study investigated characteristics of Person test according to rear environment variables. The result of the study was as follows. The more rear environment stimuli the children were provided by parents, the more stable in emotion they were. Especially four out of six rear environment variables were found significant in helping children become emotionally stable, confident, well-adjusted, and high in achievement.   • Recently, The government has been attempting to introduce assistante maternelle system for the plan of activation of care and education of infant/toddler. It is very suggestive to investigate the qualification criterion, procedure, control and support method of assistante matemelle with a focus on the cases of the foreign countries adopting assistante matemelle system. Therefore, this study investigates the assistante maternelle that French, in which the public care and education system of infant/toddler was well established and adopting the joint childcare type, was institutionally conducting. This study discusses the following matters : first, what efforts French had made to activate assistante maternelle system ; Second, the method and degree of government support of the childcare expenses, Third, the criterion and procedure for the qualification of assistante maternelle, Fourth, the direction of the current French family welfare policy as well as the historical background for the assistante maternelle till its emergence.   • This study aimed to compile basic data for movement education in day care centers by investigating the actual conditions and teacher"s opinions. For this study, the following research questions were asked: 1. What are the teacher"s opinions of movement education in day care centers? 2. What are the actual conditions of movement education in day care centers? The subjects of this research survey were 127 day care center teachers. Data was collected from the subjects, using a questionnaire which consisted of 33 items. Data was analyzed by frequencies, percentiles, and chi-square tests. The following are the results of this study: 1. When asked of the necessity of movement education in day care centers, 91.4% of the teachers answered "necessary or very necessary". As for the interest in movement education in day care centers, 96.3% of teachers answered "highly interesting" but, "didn"t know about the actual movement education program in the day care center". 2. When asked of the frequency of movement education in day care centers, 68.6% of the teachers answered "regularly". As for the method of children"s movement education, 34.6% of the day care center teachers "first read stories and poems, then children acted out the movements" ranked the highest. 81.1% of the teachers needed to attend a teacher"s training course.초록 닫기

  • The purpose of this qualitative study is about the theory of Waldorfeducation. The Waldorfkindergarten is concepted by Rudolf Steiner(1816-1925). His conception is based on anthroposophy and development theory. Anthroposophy covers nearly all the fields as kindergarten, school, natural science, medicine, agriculture, economics, architecture, art. etc. Waldorfchildcare and education is based on Steiner"s development theory. He considers of Humandevelopment as several-year rhythm. The first phase is during 7 year. The children at this phase learn through imitation and model. Will is the important for this age. The second phase is 7-14 age. During the second phase learn the children how to do feeling. The third phase is since 14 until 21. The children at this phase learn how to do thinking. The important point of Waldorfeducation is harmony of body, mind and spirits, and this Waldorfeducation aims whole child.
