한부모가족 청소년의 심리적·행동적·학업적 적응에 관한 연구: 이혼가족과 사별가족의 비교를 중심으로
A Study on the Adolescents’ Psychological, Behavioral,and School Adjustment of Single-parent Family: Focusing on the Differences between Divorced Family and Bereaved Family
본 연구는 한부모가족 청소년의 심리적·행동적·학업적 적응수준 및 이에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 이혼가족과 사별가족 두 가지로 구분하여 비교하고자 하는 연구이다. 연구목적을 위하여 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 한국청소년패널조사(KYPS) 중2패널 3차년도 자료를 사용하였다. 조사에 응답한 총 3,125명 중 부모이혼가족 청소년 194명, 부모사별가족 청소년 102명 총 296명을 추출하여 분석에 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 심리적 적응과 행동적 적응 수준에서는 이혼가족 청소년과 사별가족 청소년간에 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 학업적 적응에서는 이혼가족 청소년이 사별가족 청소년에 비해 낮은 수준을 보였다. 한부모가족 청소년의 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인에 있어서는 자아존중감과 교사관계가 주요한 요인으로 나타났고, 특히 사별가족 청소년의 경우 부모의 지도감독이 학업적 적응에 주요한 영향을 미치는 요인임을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 한부모가족 청소년의 적응을 돕기 위한 사회복지적 개입 방안을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to examine factors affecting adolescents’ adjustment of single-parent family especially focusing the differences between divorced family and bereaved family. This study used data from the wave 3(2005) of Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS). This study analyzed data of 296 first grade high school students out of 3,125 students who participated in the KYPS. The findings of this study were as follows. First, adolescents of divorced family had lower score than adolescents of bereaved family at school adjustment. Second, self-esteem and relationship with teachers had impact on psychological and school adjustment. Especially, parental regulation had important impact on school adjustment of adolescents in bereaved family. Based on this research, the author presented needed approaches in the conclusion.
