A case study on life change of people with psychiatric disabilities through community care

정신장애인에 대한 접근이 여전히 치료와 수용 중심으로 이루어지고 있는 상황에서 지역사회 통합돌봄은 회복과 자립을 위한 지역사회 기반 정책으로서 의의가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 H시에서 추진된 정신장애인 지역사회 통합돌봄 선도 사업에 대한 사례연구를 통해 서비스 과정 및 정신장애인의 삶의 변화에 대해 탐색적으로 살펴보았다. 5개의 사례를 중심으로 서비스 이용자, 제공자, 주변 관계자 12명을 대상으로 인터뷰를 하여 분석하였다. 사례 내 분석결과 ‘안전한 지지체계를 통해 위기가 회복의 기회로’, ‘집중적인 개입을 통해 고립에서 관계 속으로’, ‘독립적인 주거를 통해 전환되는 삶의 방향’, ‘일상의 욕구 해결을 통해 찾아가는 소소한 삶의 행복’, ‘주거기반 서비스를 통해 실현 가능한 탈원화’의 주제가 도출되었다. 사례 간 분석결과로는 ‘새로운 삶이 시작되는 주거 공간’, ‘시간이 축적해 내는 관계의 밀도’, ‘일상을 중심으로 한 서비스 제공’, ‘촘촘한 안전망의 구축’, ‘비로소 살아보는 평범한 삶’의 5개 주제가 도출되었다. 연구결과를 토대로 정신장애인 지역사회 통합돌봄의 성과와 함의를 제시하였다.
In a situation where policy to the people with psychiatric disabilities is still focused on treatment and institutionalization, community care is meaningful as a community-based policy for recovery and independence. Accordingly, in this study, the service process and changes in the lives of the people with psychiatric disabilities were explored through a case study of the community care leading project in H city. Focusing on 5 cases, we conducted interviews with 12 service users, providers, and stakeholders. As a result of the analysis within the case, 'a crisis into an opportunity for recovery through a support system', 'from isolation to a relationship through intensive intervention', 'a change of life direction through independent housing', and 'finding small happiness of life that can be found through solving daily needs’and 'de-institutionalization that can be realized through housing-based services' were derived. As a result of inter-case analysis, 'a living space where a new life begins', 'the density of relationships that time accumulates', 'service provision focused on daily life', 'establishment of a tight safety net', 'an ordinary life that is finally lived' 5 themes were derived. Based on the research results, implications of community care for the people with psychiatric disabilities were presented.
