본 연구의 목적은 코로나19로 인하여 야기된 학교 현장의 변화에 대응하기 위한 학교사회복지사의 역할 모색 및 전문성 강화에 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 학교사회복지 관련 현장 전문가를 대상으로 포커스그룹인터뷰를 실시하여 학교 현장에 적용 가능한 역할을 확인하였다. 연구결과, 고유성과 전문성을 강화하기 위하여 5가지의 역할이 추가될 필요가 있었으며, 주로 제시된 역할로는 사례관리자, 전문가, 사회변화대응자, 슈퍼바이져, 행정가로 도출되었다. 이러한 연구결과에 기반하여 결론에서는 미래지향적인 학교사회복지사 역할을 정립하기 위한 방안을 제시하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 학교사회복지사 역할의 전문성 제고 및 역할 혼란을 예방하기 위한 논의의 확장이 이루어지길 기대해 본다.
The objective of this study is to seek for the roles and to strengthen the professionalism of school social workers to cope with changes in school field caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. For this, this study verified the roles applicable to school field by conducting the focus group interview with field experts related to school social worker. In the results of this study, it would be necessary to add total five roles to strengthen the uniqueness and professionalism, and the roles mainly presented were case manager, expert, social change responder, supervisor, and administrator. Based on such results of this study, the conclusion presented the measures for establishing the roles of future-oriented school social welfare. Starting from this discussion, hopefully, the discussion should be expanded for improving the roles and preventing the role confusion of school social workers.
